Currently helmed by Dalsix Höðr Visser, the movement also focuses on promoting music, art and culture through various platforms and oraganising events that are relevant to the subculture such as Halloween, International EBM Day and World Goth Day, just to name a few. SDAM also works with various collaborators in helping to raise the profile of the dark alternative subculture in both Singapore and in Asia and is open to provide a helping hand to those who require guidance in starting out in their respective aspects of the subculture

Strobe Like A Butterfly

Held at the Substation on 23 August, Strobe Like A Butterfly is the brainchild of Ruben Pang and his schoolmates to create an event that combines the elements of rock, industrial and eye catching visuals and capturing the attention of the audience on a supposedly quiet Monday evening. But with a set-list that included covers from Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson to the unexpected such as Velvet Revolver and Muse, the Strobe Like A Butterfly ensemble consisted of a rotational line up of frontmen and instrumentalists who displayed steely demeanour onstage despite the constant musical chairs to put a show that received plaudits from the crowd. Evidence? Not one body in the packed venue was stationary as they moved along and even a jig or two were being seen. It definitely got our heads in the clouds for sure! - Dalsix Visser, Chief Medical Orderly
